~ Buche de Noel ~
(aka Yule Log)

Yule logs are very popular for the Christmas season.  This one, in particular, is a triple chocolate version.  It consists of a dark chocolate genoise cake, filled with a dark chocolate ganache and coated in a dark chocolate buttercream.  It is so moist and delicious, but I believe my favorite are the baked vanilla meringue mushrooms that garnish the cake.

This cake has become such a huge hit for some that they've begun ordering it for all special occasions!  In fact, the photos below show another Buche de Noel that I made for them to celebrate Valentine's day...

~ Game Day Cupcakes ~

My husband's birthday is often near Super Bowl weekend.  Since he is an avid Seahawks 12th Man, we've been able to celebrate both at the same time over the last couple of years.  The cupcakes are an easy way to express both celebrations.

~ Star~Berry Cake ~

I made this cake in celebration of my own birthday as it normally falls near the Memorial Day weekend.  It was so scrumptious and was the perfect end to a BBQ with friends.  The Star~Berry Cake: Perfect for Military Functions and 4th of July celebrations.  Feeds 20!  I made a simple moist white cake with buttercream frosting and fresh fruit to garnish.

~ Monster High Cake ~

This was a really fun cake that I made for a daughter of a great friend.  We had so much fun creating the idea together and were really happy with the results.  I just hope Daphne and her Mom loved it as much as I did!  It can sometimes be difficult creating a cake to be an exact replica of another.  This is a Monster High Cake ~ White (pink) & Chocolate Zebra Swirl Cake with a creamy, delicious buttercream frosting.
